Welcome to Flying Families
Join Us At Flying Families
We believe in flying! Flying is freedom, flying is fun and flying is for families! Don't believe us? Don't want to share your interest in flying? Of course you do, but sometimes it seems there's just too much competition. The kids don't want to leave their video games, wives and husbands always have something else to do!  Maybe you can't even find the information you need to get started.

WE CAN HELP! SIGN UP FOR OUR FREE NEWSLETTER AND EVERY FOUR WEEKS YOU'LL GET THE INFORMATION YOU NEED.

Our aim is to make flying a choice and not a chore, for you and your family. We help you choose a flying club, look at the various flying ratings and if you have that precious PPL we'll help you choose destinations for their attractions, not their proximity or their tea room.

Sweep her off for lunch and a spot of shopping. Fly the kids to a deserted beach or a theme park, whisk him off to a Grand Prix and you will find a new source of fun as you become a flying family!

We take the strain out of finding destinations and planning routes by providing route information, pictures of VRPs suggested RT and even DVDs of routes designed to make your flying safer and increase your confidence. We also provide information for your passengers to keep them interested in the landmarks en route and to build their enthusiasm for the destination. We'll help you introduce your passengers to the unique small aircraft environment and help you to make flying the perfect choice for your flying family!
Registration is quick and simple, we ask for a minimum of information - so sign up now - it's fast, it's free and we never EVER give your information to anyone.

Still, it was irksome waiting for him, especially when I'd usually prepared thoroughly for my flying.

It's Cheaper to Fly
Most non pilots I talk to are mystified by my view on flying, not just because they can’t, poor souls, see the point in it, but because it’s so expensive. No no! I don’t mean that’s my view, but you must admit that private plane is not the cheapest way to get around. Or is it? Last weekend we mounted a Flying Families expedition designed to test this out. Take a simple trip by plane and duplicate it  by road. On Sunday we flew from Wycombe Air Park to Avebury, getting a fantastic view of the stone circle, the earthworks and Silbury Hill.  On Monday we did the same trip, this time by car.  When all expenses were taken into account can you guess which trip was cheapest?
